Freddie Gibbs is gearing up to record a new project with producer DJ Statik Selektah tonight (June 22) and XXLMag.com will be on hand to document the entire process on our UStream channel.
Similar to Statik’s discs with Saigon (2009’s All In A Day’s Work), Freeway (2011′s Statik-Free EP), and Termanology (2011's 1982 EP) this new project will also be recorded in just one day in Selektah’s home studio in Brooklyn along with a slew of special guests.
The recording session will broadcast live on XXLMag.com on starting at 6 p.m. EST.
Luckily for fans, the disc will be available for purchase on iTunes, two days later.
Along with XXL, LRG and Karmaloop will also be on hand documenting the marathon session.
The project titled Lord Giveth, Lord Taketh Away, will precede Gibbs’ forthcoming mixtape, Cold Day in Hell, which, as of press time does not have an official release date.
