After a brief hiatus from rap to focus on journalism I found myself still writing songs and rhyming. After hearing Mos Def’s Auditorium to the madlib beat I knew I had to jack it! I thought of my childhood in Mainsouth and what I considered cool as a kid. It wasn’t meant to be something brilliant, I wanted to be simple as possible; I wanted to explain what a kid growing up in Mainsouth Worcester, MA thought was cool. Ima sell cocaine/ get a gold chain/ 4 piece ring (rang)/ gun go bang/. The hook says it all b! I have two sons and never want them to experience some of the things I went through growing up but I will be dammed if I act like it didn’t exist. This song is actually the first time I made reference to my brother’s passing RIP Rob V. Toca did more than his thing on the mixing side, I trusted him to engineer me a classic and he did. Juice (the movie) is a gem for my team so the samples he added in were only fitting
